As I started planning my 30th birthday trip, I knew I wanted something different—somewhere warm, beautiful, adults-only, and full of both peace and a little party. After a lot of searching, I landed on RIU Latino in Costa Mujeres, Mexico. Here’s why it instantly felt like the move.
📍 Location, Vibe, & First-Time Feels
This will be my first time in Mexico, and I wanted it to be unforgettable. RIU Latino is tucked away in the exclusive Costa Mujeres area, just outside Cancun. It’s far enough from the party strip to feel peaceful, but close enough if I want to explore. The views? Turquoise waters and endless white sand beaches. Yes please.

Let’s be real: I love kids, but for this trip, I needed grown-up energy only. RIU Latino is an adults-only resort, which means no screaming at the pool, no kid zones—just pure vibes. It gives me the space to relax without the chaos.

- 5 bars, including a lively swim-up bar and late-night lobby spot.
- Themed RIU parties at night—basically built-in nightlife.
- Onsite Nightclub – Discoteca Pacha
- Renova Spa with a sauna, steam room, hydrotherapy pools, and massage options.
- Private beach access with loungers just for guests.
🛏️ The Room Situation
The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern—with everything I’ll need to feel pampered. And yes, I absolutely booked my group rooms with a balcony and a swim-up pool. Morning tea with a view? That’s a birthday necessity.
🥂 What I’m Hoping For
This trip is all about balance—relaxing beach mornings, poolside cocktails, spa time, and a little dancing at night. I want a space where I can celebrate, recharge, and just enjoy being me with no pressure. From what I’ve read, RIU Latino checks all those boxes.
